Information email about Columbus project

The first step of the worldwide campaign to inform students about the
Columbus project (as described on www.a4nll.com/prop-fp) consists of an information email to universities, student associations, news media, politicians, etc. This email is written by Nils Beetsma, initiator of the Columbus project and student at the university of Amsterdam.

Dear all,

I would like to inform students (of your university) about a showcase project for an innovative way of learning with which all complex problems of this world can be solved. Students who participate in this project have the opportunity to master this innovative way of learning for free and show that they are capable of solving complex problems that seem unsolvable, such as the current Ukraine conflict. Let me elaborate.

I am Nils Beetsma, student at the University of Amsterdam and founder of the Academy for Next Level Learning. In 2019 I came across Next Level Learning which is a practical form of transformative learning, developed to get all complex problems of this world solved. With Next Level Learning I started to see causes for my own behaviour and that of everyone else, which were unimaginable beforehand. When I tried to tell others what I started to see it seemed like nobody was able to understand or even hear me. Because I was unable to tell others I wanted to give others the opportunity to see it for themselves so I founded the Academy for Next Level Learning.

To show the whole world that all complex problems can be solved if everyone would see these causes (and thereby see how to resolve them) with Next Level Learning, I started the Columbus project. In this project students from all over the world have the opportunity to participate in a short programme based on Next Level Learning called Mastery in Transition. After participating in this programme students form groups in an open learning environment where they meet others who also want to get the problems of this world solved. In this project we use an example problem and an elaborated solution which strongly resemble the current Ukraine conflict.

At a conference by UNESCO in 2021 it was stated that transformative learning is the key to the survival of our species and our planet and all effort should be put in creating a practical form of transformative learning. Therefore I will present the results of the Columbus projects to organisations like UNESCO and the Great Transition Initiative and leading universities in fields related to solving complex problems such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Shanghai University, Wageningen University & Research, etc.
